At the heart of Timber & Tallow is The Pit Master Academy, its dedicated education branch. Founded by Jonathon "Carlos" Indermuehle of Heifers, Butts & Clucks BBQ and Jacob Gavin of Ribs & Whiskey BBQ, The Pit Master Academy is the next evolution of Proud Souls BBQ University, where they previously served as Director of Education and General Manager, respectively.

With over 50 BBQ classes taught, Jonathon and Jacob bring a wealth of experience—not just in education, but in the high-stakes world of competition BBQ.
